In Memory Gifts

Giving a donation in memory of someone close to you is a practical and very positive way of remembering them. Funeral flowers are beautiful, but last such a short time, whereas a donation to Against Breast Cancer can make the future brighter for countless breast cancer sufferers for years to come. Knowing that you are fighting back against the disease and helping others may also be a comfort at such a difficult time.

If you are organizing the funeral of someone close to you, please consider including “Donations to Against Breast Cancer” in any newspaper notice and asking the funeral director to arrange for a collection at the service. The name of every person for whom an 'in memory' donation is given will be inscribed in our leather-bound Book of Remembrance, which is kept permanently at our charity headquarters and provides a lasting tribute for loved ones, friends and relatives.

If you wish, you can set up an online fundraising page in memory of a loved one, which you can personalise with your own special message and perhaps a photograph. Your friends can then donate online and pay their own tribute with thoughts and memories of the person who has died. The donations are then processed, including Gift Aid where appropriate, and the money raised comes direct to Against Breast Cancer. Please click here if you would like to set up such a web-page.

Please also tell us the name of the deceased person, and, if you know it, the name and address of their next-of-kin. All donations will be most gratefully acknowledged and, where possible, the bereaved family will be notified of the names of all donors and the total amount raised in memory of their loved one.
